I provide a wide array of editing services including copy editing, structural editing, and stylistic editing. While these types of editing often overlap, the following definitions, taken from the Editors' Association of Canada website, may be useful:
Copy editing - editing to ensure correctness, consistency, accuracy, and completeness. In particular, attention is paid to grammar, punctuation, and consistency.
Structural editing - editing to assess and shape material to improve its organization and content.
Stylistic editing - editing to clarify meaning, improve flow, and smooth language.
I also have a keen eye for design and can provide feedback on document formatting and on website content and layout.
International capabilities
While I am based in Ontario, Canada, I accept work from all over the world. I am Australian by birth and can navigate the nuances between Australian, Canadian, British, and American English as needed.
